Shadows in the Dark

He walks slowly down the street
– lonely and silent –
Framed by colonials,
Lifeless shadows in the dark.
All the street lamps have faded into nothing as
He walks slowly down the street
With only the dim moonlight revealing his path.
While he walks, he contemplates,
And when he contemplates, he doubts.
Doubts a life as dim as the moonlight,
As lonely as the street
But as he walks, he knows,
He will eventually return.
Home.
