Summertime Magic

Have fun before the evening ends,
While the moon still shares its glow.
Run barefoot in the dewy grass,
Find love beneath an old willow.

Embrace the gift of nature’s light.
Breathe in the tonic summer air,
Dance freely with the fireflies –
Twisting, twirling without a care.

Drink up the scent of lilac buds,
Don a fresh crown of wildflowers.
Welcome a magic of summertime youth,
While you live in these cool, brisk hours.

For summer ends, as all times do,
When fall moves warm nights past.
One day you’ll smile, looking fondly back
With just one wish – to make it last.
