Stolen Gaze

She found him midway
Through his chronic cycle
Of a finite past and future,
Where he questioned every
Move conceived in his mind,
Never jumping with only
His faith to help him fly.

She stole his gaze, fixed
Inward, and made him extend
That careful curiosity to her
Mysterious wonderment and wanderlust,
So exotically foreign to his being
That her ability to feel joy just
To be joyful absorbed his entirety.

She walked into his life
With a vibrant understand
That not all can be understood,
And her spirit smiled brilliantly,
Replacing his monotonous cycle
With the breathtaking beauty of
The randomized nature of human love.
